On this day in 1776 the United States of America was born.
America is my country, where I was born, grew up and still live.
I know it’s not perfect. No place is. But it is my home, and I choose to celebrate the day it came into being.

No worries Tim! Canada Day was subdued, given our current problems with residential schools. As you say , we have done many good things but there is so much that needs to be righted.
