Hi, Mr. Dittmer:
The idea of purchasing premade print covers intrigues me. My current WIP is a fantasy novel. It will be ready to pub by year end. I need to know, though, if I chose one of M.S. Fowles covers how do I know that the same cover won’t come up on another novel a week or a month or so after mine? I know there can’t be permanent exclusivity, but do you know if he/she offers a period of time that it *would* be exclusive for?
If you would like M.S. Fowles to respond to this, my email address is gwsquires@gmail.com. Thank you for your help.

I don’t know what she offers for exclusivity, but I’m sure she’d be happy to answer any questions you have.
She’s good people.

Hello, Jay!
I only sell my book covers ONCE. After they’ve been sold, I remove them from the site and NEVER sell them again. You may use the cover art in anyway you like to promote your book – make banners, headers, etc. All I require after payment is that Melchelle Designs be credited as cover designer inside the book.
So, the book cover truly is exclusively yours – forever.
I’m an author too, so I understand your concerns. I’ve also been working in customer service for most of my life, so I know the value of honesty and integrity when it comes to business relations. In addition, I am an artist. I take pride in the cover art I make and I love to see them come alive as a book. But, once my art has found a home with an author, I let go. I display the final cover art in my galleries to share with others, with links to purchase the book of course, and I do so proudly.
If you find a moment, take a look at the premades I have to offer at Melchelle Designs – http://melchelledesigns.com/ And if you don’t see what you’re looking for, contact me from the site to discuss a custom design – my rates are very reasonable.
Thank you for inquiring, Jay. A lot of authors worry about “repeat book covers” and I’m happy to NOT be a part of such a shady practice.
And thank you, Tim – for sharing my post here. I love that you chose my favorite print premade to showcase. 😉
Take care!
Mel
